Some blogs get 1 million hits, this one gets 2. God Bless You Jeff & Greg

This blog deserves a good post- let the quick stream of consciousness commence:
I often feel compelled to update this blog, as if it’s some sort of cosmic responsibility, a calling, or a magnetic tug towards the keyboard of sorts. But as equally often as the urge takes hold of me, I find myself staring at a blank Word document. So of course I stare, and then I listen to Morrissey or jerk off or smoke cigarettes (my favorite pastimes by the way). And inevitably, there is no update, there is no blog. And that’s a shame really, I think this blog is special, and I love it like I love Fresca.

I saw 300 the other day and was terrifically disappointed. It was pretty to look at (like a cute, dumb chick) but really monotonous and empty (like a cute, dumb chick). English football season started again, that’s soccer to you patriotic Americans, and it’s quite exciting for me and my favored club The Arsenal. Right now I’m reading the Wikipedia entry for Fyodor Dostoevsky. I’ve read a bit of “Crime and Punishment” and nothing more, although I intend to. Right now I’m rereading “Bluebeard” by the late, great Kurt Vonnegut (recommended much). Back to Dostoevsky. According to Wikipedia, Walter Kaufmann considers his “Notes from the Underground to be: (and I quote) "the best overture for existentialism ever written." By the way, I have no clue who Walter Kaufmann is and I only have a vague idea of what existentialism is. Also, I’m listening to Interpol’s newest album “Our Love to Admire”, its okay- nothing more and nothing less.

Ahh, update: I’ve got a brand spanking new computer and high-speed internet. No longer in the dark ages for Ryan.

That’s it. I’m done, and Word 2007 keeps telling me that half of my sentences are run-ons. Well, fuck you automatic grammar checker. Spell check, you’re still cool.

Jeff Healy-san: Got your email. I’ll look into Labor Day. Also, if you can make it to San Francisco, I’ll be at the Treasure Island Music Festival on September 16. Check the link for the band lineup and try to make it if at all possible. http://www.treasureislandfestival.com/
I’ll be with a friend but you could bring Helen of Troy and we could party in the city (perhaps the Saturday before).

Remember, it’s Sunday, the 16th of September in the year of our Lord 2007.
Safe.
